Supporting authenticity is an important part of my work! I have worked with individuals all over the spectrums of sexuality, gender identity, and expression. I strive to be informed and respectful of client pronouns, chosen names, and identities starting with your intake paperwork and first interaction with me.
You may be seeking counseling largely because of your identity- to seek support, transition, process traumatic trans-phobia, homo-phobia and microaggressions, or address barriers to living more authentically. On the other hand, your focus may be entirely something else. Regardless of your goals, one of mine is that you can work on them in a safe environment cognizant of the psychological impact of heteronormativity, the culture of this area, history, trauma and intersectionality within the LGBT+ community. I provide Gender Affirming Surgery letters according to WPATH Standards. |
