Hello! My name is Brittany Garcia (she/her) and I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor practicing in Billings, and via telehealth in Idaho and Montana. I provide individual therapy for adults and highly motivated teens specializing in childhood trauma, C-PTSD, cult survivorship & spiritual abuse, medical trauma, and power based violence. I am EMDR trained with the ability to offer in person, telehealth and intensive services for clients hoping to heal attachment wounds, break harmful cycles, cope with changes, and create healthy connections.
I am an LGBT+ affirming clinician and a certified World Professional Alliance for Transgender Health (WPATH) member and Gender Affirming Surgery letter provider.

My experience comes from working at an advocacy center with survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault, in community mental health, and at a teen residential treatment center prior to private practice.
Everything that you are doing now is for a reason. As we go through new transitions and experiences, we respond in the best way we know how. If we survived trauma earlier on, we keep doing whatever 'worked' although what worked before doesn't always continue serving us. Luckily, we can learn our survival patterns and modify them to healthier ways of coping and connecting.
To support our brain's ability to change and heal, we need a safe space to process and explore, and authentic support. I would love to help you connect with yourself, create growth-fostering relationships and increase self-awareness and confidence that will translate to your everyday life

When I am not providing therapy, I enjoy adventures with my two young boys and dogs in the outdoors. I love hiking mountains, fishing, camping, traveling to just about anywhere and sitting by a campfire. Other ways I recharge are by going to the gym, connecting with others and watching documentaries, crime shows and a little reality TV. I serve as secretary for the Professional Counselors Association of Montana. I am a Swifty for life and run a small chicken farm.
